A separate branch of the [Yeatman] family, mainly located in Pennsylvania, but now partly scattered from New York to California, can trace their ancestry to a Thomas Yeatman, born in Dorset Co. England, in 1693, who came to America in 1708. He later bought land from the heirs of William Penn, part of which is still owned and occupied by his descendants to this day. There is a town in Pennsylvania, named Yeatman, for this family. The Pennsylvana Yeatmans are doubtless related to the Virginia Yeatmans, but to establish this would require tracing the Virginia branch back to England, and establishing the relationship there. The writer has met one of this branch, and corresponded with others, and feels it a matter of regret that the Virginia branch cannot establish definite relationship with their Pennsylvania cousins.

Thomas Yeatman was born in 1693, in Hinton St Mary, Dorset, England, United Kingdom, his father, Robert Yeatman, was 26 and his mother, Mary Slade Yeatman, was 26. He married Sarah Bennett on 6 March 1722, in Norway, Pennsbury Township, Chester, Pennsylvania, British Colonial America. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 4 daughters. He died on 28 August 1754, in Norway, Pennsbury Township, Chester, Pennsylvania, United States, at the age of 61, and was buried in Norway, Pennsbury Township, Chester, Pennsylvania, United States.
