Facts and Events
Name[3] Thomas True
Alt Name[4] William _____
Gender Male
Marriage 18 Feb 1862 Trinity Center, Trinity, California, United Statesto Mary Jane Westfall

From the Sons and Daughters of Oregon Pioneers application filled out by Gladys (Westfall) (King) Mullen. He arrived in Oregon from Norway.

The Westfall Country book names him William True and his son William True Jr. His marriage record gives his name as Thomas[3]. According to Gladys Mullin (granddaughter) he went by the name Thomas. Another granddaughter gave his name as John True[1] but that is likely due to her not knowing his first name. His name might have been William Thomas True, or the Westfall Country book could have been incorrect.

He could not read or write. From Gram's notes he died 186[7].

On the 1900 US Census his son William Taylor True states that his father was born in Virginia. Also on the 1900 Census Nora, his daughter, states that he was born in Sweden.
