Children of Thomas and Sarah Trott: Thomas, b. abt 1644 [no explanation given, appears to be based solely on assumption that he was oldest child, probably too early since first child not until 1681], d. 13 Jan 1694 (fall from cart), had wife Ann ---. He and wife owned church covenant 25 Jul 1677 [sic, see following comment].
[Note: given name of wife, Ann, is found in his probate file. Owning of covenant (here) appears to be his parents, not him. See p. 25 where a plan is made for renewing of the covenant in April 1677. Presumably that is why his parents reowned the covenant. See p. 73, where Thomas Junior is explicitly referred to as Junior in a list of "ye Children of ye Church" in March 1676/77, unlike the owning of the covenant record. In addition, if one supposes Thomas Jr. was married in 1677, the 4 year gap until the first child is very unusual, also suggesting the 1677 record does not apply to Thomas Jr.]
