Will Abstract
- Thomas Staton's will was made 9 March, 1778, and reads in part:
- ...of the Parish of Russell and the County of Bedford being very sick b ut in proper sences and memory...
- first I give and bequeth (sic) unto my children and their ears (heirs) my land and household furniture and stock of horses, cattle, sheep, and hogs and of every kind, my land I bought of Josiah Coker to be disposed of in equal division with the rest of my worldly estate at the discretion of my Executors after my lawful debts are paid.
- I give, constitute, make and ordain Reuben Staton, John Staton, Ann Staton, my wife, my Executors...
