Some researchers believe that this Thomas Sheriff was the same one listed in the 1790 Census in Prince George's County, Maryland, but since that Thomas Sheriff had 2 children under age 16 living in his household, it is unlikey that this Thomas was the one in the census record. It is more likely that a different Thomas Sheriff, who was born abt. 1750 is the Thomas Sheriff in the 1790 Census. It is unknown how the two Thomas Sheriff's were related, although they were likely related in some way.
