From Chalkley’s Augusta County Records:

  • Vol. 2 - Marriage Bond - 1799--December 2, Thomas Reed and Richard Curry, surety. Thomas Reed and Mary Curry, daughter of above Richard Curry. Thomas is of age.
  • Vol. 2 - (undated, appears to be abt. 1814-1817) - Haslip vs. Reed--O. S. 295; N. S. 105--Bill by Robert Haslip and Polly, his wife, former wife of Thomas Reid of Augusta, who was son and devisee of Robert Reed, who had also two daughters, viz: Isbel and Deborah. Thomas Reed had an infant son, Robert Reed.

    Thomas Reed
    Thomas Reed married Mary (Polly) Curry, daughter of Richard Curry, on December 2, 1799. He died on July 15, 1801. They had one son, Robert Reed, born on September 23, 1800. Robert married Rebecca Conner and moved to Delaware County, Ohio where he died on June 2, 1887.
    Mary Curry Reed remarried on February 5, 1807 to Robert Hazlet.
