Will Transcript

WILL OF THOMAS PULLIAM:
In the name of God, Amen, I, Thomas Pulliam of the Parrish of St George and County of Spotsylvania, being of Sound mind and perfect memory, thanks be to God for the same, do make, constitute and ordain this my last will and Testament in manner and form following:
Imprimis: I recommend my Soul into the hands of my Great Creator and Blessed Redeemer and my body to the Earth to be decently Buried at the discretion of my executor hereafter named and to what worldly Estate with which it has please God to bless me after the payment of my just Debts and funeral charges I give and Bequeath as followeth:
Item--I give and bequeath unto my son James Pulliam two hundred Acres of Land including my plantation whereon I now live to him and his heirs and assigns forever.
Item--I give and bequeath unto my son Thomas Pulliam all the land as I hold on the East side of Hollodays Swamp to him and his Heirs and assigns forever.
Item--I give and bequeath unto my son Benjamin Pulliam the remainder part of my Land to him and his Heirs and assigns forever.
Item--I give and bequeath unto my daughter Anna, the wife of David Sandige one negro girl named Jane to her and her Heirs and assigns forever.
Item--I give and bequeath unto my daughter Sarah, the wife of Christopher Dicken one negro girl name Doll to her and her Heirs and assigns forever.
Item--I give and bequeath unto my son Benjamin Pulliam one Negro mand named Sam and one negro girl named Fillis and the best feather bed and furniture as I have and one colt named Peber to him and his Heirs and assigns forever.
Item---I give and bequeath unto my son Thomas Pulliam one young black horse named Buck to hi and his Heirs and assigns forever.
Item---My will and desire is that the Remainder of my Estate may be equally divided amongst my seven children as I have notgiven a negroe to wiz: James, Thomas, Winnifred, Susannah, Elizabeth, Agnes and Mary.
My Desire is that my son Benjamin may be sent to school by my executors till he has a good learning and then to bind him to a good traid till he shall arrive to the age of twenty one years.
And lastly of this my last will and Testament, I ordain and appoint my loving sons James and Thomas to be my whole and sol Executors Revoking and making void all other wills heretofore by me mad and tatifying and confirming this my last will and Testament as aforesaid i Testimony whereof I have here unto set my hand and affixed my seal this 17th day of April anno 1758.
