Travelled up from Kerry and bought the cottage at Thallabawn. He had to go to America at least twice in order to get work. This was hardly unusual at the time and his sisters, in-laws and daughter Ruth followed h is example. Apparently (according to Sarah McNally, Margaret, his wife acc ompanied him once).1 SOUR S5 went to USA in 1907 on SS Campania. Passage was paid by his brother Pat. married Margaret in 1913 in Leominster, Massachusetts
