    "Deacon Thomas Hart, Kensington, Conn., second son of Captain Thomas, of Farmington, and his wife, Ruth (Hawkins), born, April, 1680, at Farmington; … He was admitted to the church in Farmington, February 2d, 1706/7. The church in Kensington was organized December 10th, 1712, and consisted of ten members, among whom were Thomas Hart and wife. He was chosen deacon of that church, January 27th, 1718-19. … He was the most influential man in Kensington Society, having been a justice of the peace, and represented the town of Farmington six sessions between 1739 and 1747. … Deacon Thomas Hart died January 29th, 1773, aged 93 years (wanting three months, says the record)."
