Thomas Wilburn Clark, 70, 6601 Garnet, Port Acres, passed away Monday, November 12, 1979, at 1:35 p.m. in St. Mary's Hospital following a short illness.
A native of Clarktown, he lived in Port Acres 31 years. He was a retired machinist from Gulf Oil. He was a member of Port Neches Order of Eastern Star, 667 A.F. and A.M., 1303 Port Acres. He was a 32nd Scottish Rite if the Royal Arch Masons #250 of Port Arthur.
Eastern Star services were held Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Nederland. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of Port Acres, the Rev. Paul Fregia and Rev. Jack Lee will officiate. Masonic graveside services will be a 2:30 at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper.
Pallbearers will be Milburn Lane, Oren Smith, Richard Foster, Earl Arnold, Burton Thompson and Calvin Johnson.
Survivors include his wife, Ella Clark; a son, T. W. Clark of Burkeville [Mayflower]; two daughters, Hazel Yancey and Helen Clifton, both of Port Neches; six brothers, A.B. Clark, Sr., Edward Clark, Paul Clark, all of Hemphill and B.M. Clark of Wiergate, Leon Clark of Sour Lake, George Truitt Clark of Bridge City; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services under the direction of Davis Funeral Home, Nederland.

He was a son of William Joseph Clark (b May 8, 1877 in Clarktown Community, Sabine Co, TX - Dec 18, 1929 Clarktown Community, Sabine Co, TX) and his first wife, Visey Lulu Williams (b Apr 22, 1885 Six Mile Community, Sabine Co, TX - Feb 17, 1918 Clarktown Community, Sabine Co, TX).
Wilburn and Nancy Eleanor "Ella" Lane were married on Mar 20, 1926 in Jasper Co, TX.
They lived at different times in their early married life in Browndell, Brookeland and Merryville, Louisiana, while Wilburn was working for the railroad and Port Neches. Then they moved to Port Acres for the remainder of his life.
