    link Will of Thomas Baker, proved 15 May 1719 IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN the sixteenth day of April Anno / Dommi 1719 I THOMAS BAKER of Boston in New England / Blacksmith being grown in Years, and sencible of the / mortallity of my Body, and the uncertainty of the time of my continuance in this Life, do make and Ordaine / this my Last Will and testament. That is to say Principally / and first of all I do recommend my Soul Into the handes / of God my Creator, hopeing to Obtain Mercy, and find / acceptance with him through the Merrits and Satisfaction / of the Lord Jesus
    Chnst my Redeemer, And my Body I do / Recommend to the Earth to be buryed in decent manner at / the discretion of my Executors hereafter Named. And as touching Such Worldly Estate wherewith it hath / pleased God to Bless me in this life: I do give devise & / dispose thereof in Manner following viz: / IMPRIMIS I give and bequeath unto my Eldist Son JOHN / BAKER and to his heires and heirs and assignes forever, All that my / peice or parcel of Land next adjoyning to the house be land / of my said son abutting on Salem Street in Boston. / Item I give and bequeath unto my beloved Wife MARY BAKER / all my Right title and interest in and claim unto, all the Housing, / Lands, goods and moveable Estate Which of Right was belonging / to my said wife during her Widowhood or before the tirne ot / my being Married to her, to be at her disposal as she shall / see meet. ITEM I give and bequeath unto my said beloved / Wife, the use benefit and improvement of so much of my / House hold goods as she shall think meet and convenient / for her use, Together with one of my Negro men, and also / two third parts of the Income of the remaining part of my / Real Estate during her continueing my Widdow

    And in case my said Wife shall Inter Marry after my / deceace, That then give unto her one Third part of ye Income / of my said Houseing and Land during her Natural Life, she / allowing out of the same one third part of the Necessary repairs / thereof, and also one third part of my personal Estate / after all my just debts and Funeral Charges and satisfied & / paid, to her and her heires and Assignes for ever. / ITEM I give unto the Second Church of Christ in Boston where / of I am a Member the sume of Ten pounds to be disposed of by the / Deacons of all their discretion.
