Key, Tandy, born 10/29/1754 in Fluvanna County, Virginia; entered service 1777 in Buckingham County, Virginia, where resided; moved to Fluvanna County, virginina, where he entered service; moved to Albemarle County, virginia, thence 1814 back to Fluvanna County, Virginia, where he purchased plantation; pensioned there in 1834; query letter in flie 1936 from great great grand-daughter Miss Lucia Key of Cuthbert, Georgia; query letter in file 1936 from descendant Mrs. J.E. Evans, Auburndale, Florida, states soldier's middle name was Clark; query letter in file 1930 from descendant Frances L. Dance of Atlanta, Georgia; query letter in file states soldier had a son Joseph born abt. 1765 (??, appears highly unlikely), who had a son Tandy born 1786; query letter in file states soldier's father Martin who also had other son's John, Walter, Henry, Thomas, William Bibb, Jesse, Joshua, Martin & James; query letter in file states a John Walter Key born 5/11/1751 Bedford County, Virginia; query letter in file states solfier's father married Miss Tandy and soldier married Agnes Witt.
