Name Susannah Walker
Gender Female
Marriage 27 Jun 1716 Eastham, Barnstable, Massachusetts, United Statesto Jonathan Collins

There seems to be some disagreement about who the parents of Susannah are.

Source:The New England Historical and Genealogical Register, p. 151:11 (Jan., 1997), Joseph Collins of Eastham by Stanley Newcomb Collins, Jr., claims they were William and Sarah (Snow) Walker.

However, the vital records of Eastham (Source:Mayflower Descendant, p. 6:206) do not show a Susannah in this family.

Source:Mayflower births deaths : from the files of George Ernest Bowman at the Massachusetts Society of Mayflower Descendants, published 1992, p. 2:95, claims the parents were the son of William and Sarah (Snow) Walker, also named William, and his wife Susannah. This is based on the fact that "Susanna Walker and Susanna Walker, Jr." are mentioned in a deed dated 14 Aug 1703.

My analysis: We don't have Susannah's birth date, so must estimate it. As Susannah's marriage to Jonathan Collins was her first marriage, but his second, she might be noticeably younger than Jonathan. But even if we assume what might be considered the worst case, that Susannah was born about the same time as her husband in 1682, it is certainly feasible that she could be the daughter of the son William, who was born in 1659 (see the source cited above). In 1682 he would have been age 23. Given that his wife's name was Susannah, it is very likely that a daughter named Susannah would be his eldest, and age 23 is reasonable for the birth of an eldest child. So the son William and his wife Susannah seem to be the most likely parents to me.
