Judgt. and verdict for defendant, and costs to be pd. by the plff.

- This day came the parties by their attornies & thereupon came also a jury, towit: Malcom Allen, Samuel McRoberts, Arthur Woods, Alexander McDonald, Thomas Rowland, Esquire Gatliff, Gabriel Smithers, Thomas Arnett, Andrew Smithers, Morris Fowler, Joseph Woods and John Tunley, who retd. for plff. for one hundred and sixty pounds. But judgt. states that indebtedness may be dischd. by payment of eight pounds, with int. from the fifteenth day of May, one thousand .. (omitted).. and sixty nine until paid & costs.

For sixteen pounds, nine shillings and four pence half penny, besides his costs.

Squire Gatliff4. Born Pennsylvania, died Montgomery County, Virginia 1776-1777. Torrence, supra, p.166, shows the probate of a Will for Squiar (sic) in 1777. Alsip, Our Heritage, July, 1993, p. 27, says he was born 1747 and died 2 April 1777.
