(gravestone); married first, 23 Nov. 1676, Sarah Huntington, born at Saybrook, Conn., Aug. 1654, died at Norwich, 31 Aug. 1683, daughter of Simon and Sarah (Clark) Huntington; married second, 8 Apr. 1686, Sarah (Bliss) Sluman, born at Saybrook, Conn., Aug. 1647, died at Norwich, 29 Aug. 1730, widow of Thomas Sluman, and daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth (_____) Bliss.

    He was made freeman, May 1685. He was commissioned Ensign of the Norwich train band, Oct. 1698, and Lieutenant, May 1701; and Lieutenant of the eastern company in Norwich, Oct. 1708. He was Deputy for Norwich, Oct 1698, May and Oct. 1700, May 1701, May and Oct. 1702, Oct. 1703, May 1704, May and Oct. 1705, May and Oct. 1706, May 1707, May 1708, Oct. 1709, Oct. 1710, May, June and Oct. 1711, Oct. 1712, and May 1717.     The will of Solomon Tracy of Norwich, dated 23 June 1728, proved 25 July 1732, calls him 'very far advanced in Age.' He gave to his wife her dower, and if she should die before him, her thirds of the personal estate were 'to be to ye only and proper use of the Heirs of her Body By her first Husband.' Simon, his eldest son, was to have a double portion. His son Solomon had received land, and was to have half of the personal estate. The daughter Lydia was to have the other half of the personal estate, and a tract of land on the east side of the long hill. Son Simon, Executor. Witnesses: Benjamin Lord, Daniel Tracy, and Daniel Tracy Junr.

    Receipt 17 Oct. 1732 signed by Thomas Leffingwell, Lydia Leffingwell, and Solomon Tracy, who called themselves 'Children and heirs of our Honored Father Mr Solomon Tracy Late of Norwich Deceased' to 'our brother Simon Tracy.'

    A discharge to Simon Tracy, Executor, by 'the Heirs of mr Solomon Tracy' was signed 14 Oct. 1732 by Thomas Sluman, Samuel Abel, Elizebeth Abel (her mark), Caleb Abel, Abigail Abel (her mark), John Abell, and Rabakah Abel (her mark); witnessed by Simon Tracy Junr and Ciuil Tracy. Underneath, on the same paper, 'We whose names are underwritten heirs of mr hugh Calkin Dccast' signed 12 Feb. 1732/3, the names being Hugh Calkin, Samuell fales, Anne fales; and also Daniel Calkin (signed 12 June 1739 before Samuel French and Moses Tracy). There are separate receipts from Joshua Calkins of Norwich for 'the full of my portion,' 29 Mar. 1733, witnessed by Ciuil Tracy and Moses Tracy; and from Stephen Calkins of Lyme, 9 Feb. 1735/6, for 'the full of my portion.' [The foregoing were heirs of Mrs. Tracy by her first husband.] [New London Probate Records, File No. 5360.]"
