Solomon Holdengraber, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Holdengraber, 1690a St. Urban St. Montreal celbrated his Bar Mitzvah. A party was held on Sunday, November 9, 1913 at the boys home.

Solomon was voted Vice President of the Junior Maccabean on October 26, 1913.

Solomon became a member of the Young Israel Childrens League in June of 1913.

Solomon won Second prize in "Uncle Jacob's" essay contest May 1913.

ASCAP Bio reads: Holden, Sidney - composer, author. Born Montreal, Quebec, Canada on Sep. 17, 1900. Died San Francisco, CA on Dec. 8, 1947. Served in Canadian AF, WWI. Songs: Yankee Rose, Tell Me Why You and I Should be Strangers, More Than Words Can Tell, San Domingo Bay, Two Lips on a Path of Roses, American All for All. Richard Frank states the songs "Chicago (That Toddlin' Town), which has the lines: " I had the time, The time of by life, I saw a man who danced with his wife..." According to Richard's mother, Patricia, the "man who danced with his wife" was his brother Jack. He had another song called "Patricia, My Darling", which was written for Richard's mother. Perry Como had a hit with this around 1950.

Candian military papers stated he is 5' 8" tall, fair completed, brown eyes and fair hair with 20/20 eyesight and good hearing.
