Simeon Phelps married Patience Nelson on August 1, 1765 in Ware.

Doolittle notes that "Simeon died at Pittsfield in 1776, returning from service in the northern army, aged 34." (Page 176)

Simeon died intestate, leaving a widow, Patience, and young family. In 1780, his brother Eliakim was appointed to administer his estate.

On March 2, 1779, Patience married Ephraim Warrin Shobrook or, possibly of Shobrook, who was noted in the record to be a "Tranchant man" perhaps a misreading of transient man.
