    Will of "Silas Pollard of the County of Richland in the State of Ohio", dated 6 Jul 1841, proved 23 Apr 1842, names wife Mary Pollard; 2 daughters Cynthia intermarried with William Garrison and Marilla intermarried with Thomas B Andrews; hears of my daughter Hannah dec'd. William Garrison and thomas B Andrews to be executors.

  3. It seems likely (and hence it is assumed by many websites, e.g., here) that Silas is the same as this man. No evidence has been found, but the name is rare, and not enough information is given about what the poorly cited family tree says to tell if it could be. The town records of Berkshire, VT, appear to start in 1794, so it seems pretty certain it was not the actual birthplace of Silas.
