    In Milton, Wis., May 24, 1883, of apoplexy, S. S. Green. He had been in poor health for several years, and had several attacks during that time. He was born in Allegany county, N. Y., came to Wisconsin in the fall of 1845, and was among the early settlers in Milton. His funeral was held Sabbath-day at the regular hour for service, at the Rock River church. A large congregation was in attendance, filling the house. Sermon by Eld. J. C. Rogers, from Rom. 21: 4, 'And God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying, nor pain any more.' J. C. R.
