There is some confusion with the use of the surname 'Mennema' and 'Minnema', as time goes by they're both being used in official documents. On their marriage certificate it clearly says 'Mennema', while on the birth certificate of their son Auke 'Minnema' is readable, both in signatures and written by the officials.
