The Independent, December 31, 1965, pg 15 (Conta Costa, CA) both obituaries Sewell B Carlisle Final rites for Sewell Bartlett ( Bob) Carlisle, 61; of 770 21st St., who died yesterday in a local hospital, will be held at 1 pm Monday at the Wilson & Kratzer Civic Center Chapel with committal following at Rolling Hills Memorial Park. The services will be conducted by Berkley Lodge, No 162, Knights of Pythias. Mr Carlisle, a native of Hartford, Mich., had been a Richmond resident for the last 16 years. He was a graduate of San Diego State College was the class of 1933 and was a member of Alpha Delta chapter, Alpha Phi Omega. He was also a member of the Berkley Knights of Pythias, the Knights of Khorasson of Oakland, Pythian Sisters, Temple No 86, of Richmond, and the nomads of Avourdukka. He was commissioner for the Boy Scouts of America San Pablo District and a committeeman for the Sea Scout Ship Dolphin of el Sobrante. Surviving are his wife, Stella, a daughter Mrs Sarah Lilarene Conley, and two sons, Donald and Robert Carlisle. The daughter and two sons all reside in San Diego. Mr Carlisle is alos survived by two grandchildren. A member of the Knights of Pythias Berkley Lodge 162, Berkley, California; Knights of Khorassan, Oakland, California; Pythian Sisters Temple 86 of Richmond, California; Nomads of Avourdoukka; Alpha Phi Omega - Alpha Delta Chapter - San Diego State College; Commissioner for Boy Scouts of America San Pablo District; Committeeman of Sea Ship Scout Dolphin of El Sobrante, California and a graduate od San Diego State College Class of 1933. A Native of Hartford, Michigan, aged 61 years.
