MARRIAGE: By about 1643 Sarah Pinney, probably daughter of Nicholas Pinney (in 1909 Elizabeth French published abstracts of several English Pinney and Standerwick wills, on the basis of which she suggested that Sarah Pinney was the daughter of John Pinney [NEHGR 63:36-42]; in 1989 Judy Osborn pointed out difficulties with this proposed identification, and argued that Sarah Pinney was more likely the daughter of Nicholas Pinney, brother of John Pinney [M&JCH 12:54-56, 17:116; 19:126-27]).
