Bourbon Co KY court records. June Court 1798

William Morrow gentleman produced a commission to be sheriff of this county the ensuing term of three years and thereupon he took the several oaths required by law and together with Robert Buckner, James Morrow, John Field, James Kenny, George Mountjoy and William McClelland his securities entered into and acknowledged two several Bonds, one in the penalty of three thousand Dollars, the other in the penalty of five thousand pounds and conditioned agreeably to law in the following words which are ordered to be recorded towit, "Know all men by these presents that we William Morrow, Robert Buckner, James Morrow, John Field, James Kenny, George Mountjoy, and William McClelland and held and firmly bound into his Excellency James Garrard Esq governor of Kentucky and his sucessors in the full and first sum of hree thousands dollars current money, to the paymentr of which well and bring to be made we and each of us bind ourselves and every of our Heirs, Executors and administrators jointly and severally firmly by these present, sealed with our seals and dated this eighteenth day of June 1798.

The condition of the above obligation is such if the above bound William Morrow as sheriff of the County of Bourbon shall by himself or his Deputies well and truly collect all officers fees and dues put into his or their hands to collect, and account for and pay the same at such time and in such manner as is directed by law; shall also well and trully execute and due return make of all said process and precepts to him directed and to him or them delivered and pay and satify all sums of money and tabacco by him or them recovered or which ought to have been received upon any such process or precepts to the person or persons entitled there to and in all other things shall trully and faithfully execute and perform the said office of sheriff according to law during the time of his continuance therein, then the above obligation shall be void otherwise to remain in full force signed William Morrow, Robert Buckner, James Morrow, John Field, James Kenny, George Mountjoy, William McClelland. Executed in the presence of the court. Test Tho Armold.Know all men by these present that we William Morrow, robert Buckner, James Morrow, John Field, James Kenny, George Mountjoy, and William McClelland and held and firmly bound into his Excellancy James Garrard Esq Governor of Kentucky and his successors in the full and just sum of five thousand pounds current money of Kentucky to the payment of which well and trully to be made we and each of us bond ourselves (completed the same as above) (This bond has to do with the collection of taxes and is much the same as the above)

In 1809 Jane "Jennie" married Samuel KEYS. Born in 1780. Samuel died in 1842; he was 62.

ii. William.

On December 1, 1813 William married Peggy ADAIR.

iii. Nancy. Born in 1795. Nancy died in 1885; she was 90.

Nancy married Samuel WRIGHT. Born in 1795. Samuel died in 1873; he was 78.

iv. Martha. Born in 1796. Martha died in 1887; she was 91.

In 1824 when Martha was 28, she married Alexander WATT. Born in 1804. Alexander died in 1891; he was 87.

v. John. Born in 1799. John died in 1884; he was 85.

In 1823 when John was 24, he married Sally PATTERSON. Born in 1801. Sally died in 1875; she was 74.

vi. Joseph. Born in 1801 in Kentucky. Joseph died in Ohio in 1881; he was 80.

Joseph married Elizabeth WATT. Born in 1805. Elizabeth died in Ohio in 1851; she was 46.

vii. Susan. Born in 1803. Susan died in 1885; she was 82.

In 1824 when Susan was 21, she married Joseph McNEIL. Born in 1803. Joseph died in 1875; he was 72.

viii. Sarah. Born in 1806. Sarah died in Ohio on May 5, 1810; she was 4.
