Mountain Democrat Placerville, California Oct 8 1964 Page 4 Funeral services were held yesterday in the Chapel of the Pines for Mrs. Bessie H. Nelson, 81, of rural Placerville, with the Rev. Edward Wyatt of the First Baptist Church of Diamond Springs officiating. Interment was in the Odd Fellows cemetery in Diamond Springs.

Mrs. Nelson, a native of Texas, died October 4 in a local hospital. Prior to her retirement she had been employed as a waitress at Hamilton Air Force base. She moved to California 29 years ago and spent the last two and one half years in El Dorado county.

She was the mother of Mrs. Mildred Dayton of Placerville, Robert Nelson of Petaluma, and Milburn Nelson of Coleville. She was the sister of Josie Wright and Ellen Harper, both of Texas, and Gus Hogue of Fresno.

She is also survived by four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
