Vital Records of Stow Massachusetts to the year 1850, published by NEHGS in Boston, MA 1911, indicates that Sarah Hall's marriage record [Middlesex County record, East Cambridge; similar to the early town records of Ipswich which were lost and were only able to be reconstituted by consulting the town's returns to the Essex County Court] identifies her birth as 19 Jun 1688 and that she was daughter of Stephen and Ruth Hall. I would like to see the original marriage record to see if this is accurate. Her mother, Ruth Hall, would have been 43-- technically possible. But she's also the right age to be the daughter of Stephen and Ruth's son, Samuel.

The 1881 Dolor Davis genealogy (p. 43) gives Stephen Hall and Ruth Davis six children; four born at Concord and the two youngest, Elizabeth (7 Apr 1685) and Sarah (19 Jun 1688) born at Stow. This is consistent with the published Stow vital records which were not published until 1911.
