    "7 Sarah3 Gary (Nathaniel2, Arthur1) was born in Roxbury, Mass., July 3, 1665. After the marriage of her sister Elizabeth to William Abbott of Andover, Mass., she went to that town to reside and there married, July 3, 1685, John Holt, born at Andover, Jan, 14, 1663/4, son of Nicholas and Hannah (Bradstreet) Holt. He died Mar. 10, 1687, at the age of 24, and she married second, Nov. 2, 1687, John Preston, son of Roger and Martha (_____) Preston of Andover."

    The last sentence is a little misleading. At the time of the marriage of John Preston to Sarah (Gary) Holt, his father, Roger, had been dead over twenty years (he had lived at Ipswich and Salem Village and died at Lynn) and his mother had married, as her second husband and his third wife, Nicholas Holt of Andover, father of Sarah's first husband.
