Children of Clark Paige and Lydia Cutler: David, b. 21 Dec 1820.
[The following footnote is attached to this entry: "His fate was tragical. After a season of prosperity in California, his wife, Sarah and two children, Annie [Sarah Anna above] and David, visited Hardwick. On their return, a day or two before their arrival at San Francisco, one of the children died, but the mother kept possession of the remains. As they approached the wharf, 12 Ap. 1853, where the father was waiting to receive his family, the boiler of the steamboat exploded, and the mother and surviving child were killed. Less than one year afterwards, 8 Ap. 1854, the bereaved father himself perished in like manner, by an explosion of a steamboat boiler. A monument in the Hardwick Cemetery bears the names of this ill-fated family."]

  4. It appears that this memorial page is based off the monument for this family, but it has no image, so it is not known what the monument says, and the memorial page appears to misidentify the wife.
