    Sarah was born in Lyme 14 April 1677 and baptized 15 July 1685 at the First Church of New London. She died 24 March 1723. According to Hempstead's Diary, "she was buried March 26 (Monday) 1723, having died Saturday of a lingering illness." The distribution of William's estate to "The eldest daughter Susanna Minor, second daughter Sarah Minor...," which would usually indicate the first daughter named for a grandmother and the second for the wife as was customary.
