3 BOYS DROWN AT CHARLEVOIX -- Were Fishing in Night on Adams Lake-- Bodies Have Not Yet Been Recovered Despite Persistent Work by Life Saving Crew--

Three Charlevoix county boys were drowned some time Wednesday night in Adams lake, about two and a half miles south of Charlevoix, and so far their bodies have not be recovered.
The lads, Messrs, Elliott, Alexander and Porkohny, were each between seventeen and eighteen years of age and had gone out on the lake in the only available boat.
Their cries for help were heard by people living near the lake but as in the darkness no other boat could be found, no help could reach them.
Yesterday it was found that the boat had been overturned and that the young men unquestionably hung to it until exhausted. The boat was anchored.
Adams lake is about three-fourths of a mile long and about a half mile wide. The bottom is muddy and covered with weeds. The Charlevoix life saving crew spent yesterday dragging but failed to located the bodies. Dynamite was used last night but so far the bodies have not risen to the surface.
