1930 he is living with father and is a gardener for summer people. Obituary Funeral Services Held Tuesday for Chas. A. Alexander. Charles A. Alexander, 58, a resident of this community for many years, died Saturday at the Charlevoix hospital where he had been a patient for more than a week. He had been in ill health for some time. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Winchester Funeral Home with the Rev. George L. Majors officiating. Burial was in Brookside cemetery. Born in Antrim county March 24, 1903, Mr. Alexander came to this community with his parents as a child. He was a painter by trade. In recent years he had resided in Marion township. He was widely known in the area as a caller for square dances. He is survived by his wife, the former Pauline Patterson, whom he married in 1939; a daughter, Mrs. Arnold (Lena) Risteau of Central Lake; one son, Charles D., stationed at Norfolk, Va., with the U.S. Navy; three grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Almond Yettaw of Grand Haven and a brother, Alvie of Sacramento, Calif.
