    In Plainfield, N. Y., on the 21st of Sept., Mr. Samuel Whitford, aged 51 years, after a protracted illness of some weeks. Mr. W, was a member of the 1st Seventh-day Baptist Church in Brookfield, with which he became connected in early life. It may be gratifying to his distant relatives and friends to learn, that he anticipated his departure with Christian composure and a joyful hope of a glorious immortality. His loss is severely felt in his bereaved family, in the church, and in the community at large.
