"4 Samuel3 Treat (James,2 Richard1), born about 1669, in Wethersfield, Conn.; died March 5, 1732-3, aged sixty-three (gravestone, Wethersfield); married Nov. 22 1716, Sarah Wolcott, … daughter of Simon3 and Sarah (Chester) Wolcott, of Windsor Conn. He was hayward in 1693. The inventory of his estate is dated April 26 1733, and his widow Sarah was appointed administratrix, June 3, 1735, and guardian of his son Samuel, aged about eleven years, the only child mentioned."

"… Samuel Treat, son of James Treat and Rebecca Lattimer, born c. 1669 in Wethersfield, Connecticut; and died 5 March 1732/33 in Wethersfield, Connecticut (Barbour citing VR 1:74), aged 63 years according to his gravestone in the Village Cemetery, Wethersfield, Connecticut (Hale 24). Samuel Treat died intestate. Inventory on his estate was taken on 27 April 1733 by Nathaniel Burnham, Benjamin Smith and David Burnham; it came to £1507:16:03. Administration was granted to his widow Sarah Treat on 3 June 1735 in Hartford Probate District; on the same day she also posted bond as guardian to her son Samuel, at age 11 (Manwaring 2:208)."
