He was hayward in 1693. The inventory of his estate is dated April 26 1733, and his widow Sarah was appointed administratrix, June 3, 1735, and guardian of his son Samuel, aged about eleven years, the only child mentioned."

Samuel Treat died intestate. Inventory on his estate was taken on 27 April 1733 by Nathaniel Burnham, Benjamin Smith and David Burnham; it came to £1507:16:03. Administration was granted to his widow Sarah Treat on 3 June 1735 in Hartford Probate District; on the same day she also posted bond as guardian to her son Samuel, at age 11 (Manwaring 2:208)."
