Will of "Samuel Tompson", dated 15 Jun 1695, mentions wife Elisabeth Tompson ["all the household Goods she brought with her"], my three Daughters [elsewhere named daughter Sarah Tompson [under 18], daughter Hannah Tompson, and not explicitly named, but presumably including wife of John Pierce], son Samuel Tompson, son Edward Tompson, son John Pierce, son Joseph Billing; son Samuel and son John Pierce Executors.

  4. This is possibly reading too much into the Braintree record that says he was 60 on 16 Feb 1690 (see Bates, p. 661, which is cited by Weis in giving this date). It is not clear from the record if it meant it was his birthday, or rather that he was recording the information that follows that day and was 60. His father was Curate at Place:Winwick, Lancashire, England. A baptism record would be ideal.
