Samuel Rhea, first child of Rev. Joseph Rhea to be born in this country, b.1769 in Maryland d.12/11/1848 in Sullivan Co., TN. Samuel married Nancy Breden b.1776 d.1/25/1856 on 9/24/1801 in Washington Co., VA. Both Samuel and Nancy are buried in the Blountville Cemetery, Blountville, Sullivan Co., TN. (Samuel and Nancy would be my great great grandparents.)

Ruth was the dau. of William Rockhold and Harriet Netherland. John was a farmer who owned a large plantation of hundreds of acres. He was also a Presbyterian minister. They were both born and died in Blountville, Sullivan Co., TN. John and Ruth had 8 children:

After John's death, Amy resided in St. Petersburg, Florida. She was a dedicated genealogist and historian. Lena Mae Cartright b.5-25-1877 d.6-13-1969 m. William Munsey Blair in Russell Co., VA on 8-3-1911. They had no issue. William Joseph Cartright b.7-27-1879 d.9-17-1906. He was kicked by a horse which caused his death. He was not married. Fannie McCord Cartright b.8-25-1882 d.8-10-1933. (Spoden says she died in 1923). She never married. Robert Carlock Cartright b.10-11-1884 d.8-2-1959 m. in 1913 Lucille Hogue "Lucy" Brown. Lucy was born in Radford, VA. Robert and Lucy had 2 children: Milburn Jonathan Cartright b.8-25-1914 m. Gertrude Kelly. (May have had another wife named Ann.) Milburn and Gertrude had one child:
