"Warwick Notes state that Mr. Samuel Mayo died 23 May 1825." [Note: it is not clear the source (Warwick Notes) that is referred to here, and in other places of this book. It could be some notes collected by Lucy Mayo Fay, apparently a niece of Samuel's, mentioned in a footnote on p. 72. But Source:Blake, Jonathan. History of the Town of Warwick, Massachusetts, p. 217, does list the death of "Mr. Samuel Mayo" on 23 May 1825.]
- ↑ Allred, p. 184, gives Samuel a third marriage, to a wife Lucy who d. 28 Feb 1828. However, his second wife outlived him and married again to Samuel Fay, while the Lucy who d. 1828 was his sister, who was the first wife of Samuel Fay, as she herself shows on p. 95.
