    97. Samuel (Lothrop), born Jan. 6, 1685, and married, July 24, 1715, Deborah Crow. Their names are both on the roll of the First Church in 1717. In the probate records he bears the title of Esquire. His will bears date Oct. 30, 1754, when he is said to be of 'Newent,' and the legatees are his wife, son Ezra, son Elisha, and daughter Deborah Avery. The same parties are mentioned in the distribution. He died Nov. 7, 1754."
