41. Samuel Fulton (John 2 , James 1 ) was married 2 October 1795 to Margaret Givens (36) . In 1801 Samuel and Margaret were residents of Washington Co., Virginia when they sold the 120 acres on the head of South River which John Fulton had devised to his son Samuel Fulton. They sold to William Fulton who was an infant when his father died. Samuel may have been in Kentucky briefly in 1810, but was in Tennessee in 1819. His estate was settled in 1822. He was a participant with his brother Andrew and uncle Andrew Steele in a large land grant dispute in 1795. (37) The children were returned to a Givens uncle in Augusta County when their father died. 88. i. Jean (or Jane R) married 9 February 1815 in Washington County, Virginia to John Lowery (39) 89. ii. Elizabeth married Charles Patton 5 September 1822.
