    "355. Samuel Denison5 was probably born in Saybrook or Stonington, Conn., 23 October 1711, the son of Samuel and Mary (Lay) (Minor) Denison. He died in Westbrook, Conn., 10 March 1792. Westbrook was formerly the west parish of Saybrook. … 'Mr.' Samuel Denison died intestate. His son, Asa Denison, was named administrator by the court held at Killingworth, 2 October 1792. His moveable estate was valued at £ 10-10-0, and his real estate at £108-10-00. Distribution of the estate was made 16 January 1793 to son Asa Denison, grandson Samuel Denison, granddaughters Amanda Hedges, Nabby Denison, Phebe Stevens and Lucretia Post, who each received £12 'and sundry articles left in the hands of Anne Pratt.' Also mentioned were his granddaughters Lucretia, Charlotte and Mindwell, daughters of his daughter Lucretia, who had married George Havens. Distribution was made by Jonathan Lay, Henry Hill and Abner Kirtland."
