    Will of "Samuel Damon of Lancaster", dated 9 Jun 1832, proved 1 Jul 1845, names wife Rebecca Damon ["disclaim all right and title to the estate of my said wife that she had at the time of our marriage"], son William Damon, children of son William Damon, son Samuel Damon, my two daughters Polly Smith and Betsy Lowe. Son in law Noah Smith to be executor.
    16 Jun 1845: Warrant to appraise estate of Samuel Damon late of Lancaster. Taken 30 Jun 1845.
    1 Jul 1845: Petition of Noah Smith, declining trust of executorship. Further states his wife Polly Smith is one of the legatees, that one legatee lives in Amherst, NH, and all other legatees live in Lancaster. Prays John W. Damon or some other suitable person might be appointed administrator.
    5 Aug 1845: Bond of John W. Damon as administrator, with the Will annexed, of estate of Samuel Damon late of Worcester.
