[Note a search was conducted on the FreeBDM for a Sammuel Bassett between Sep 1837 and Dec 1841 for the County of Cornwall, this was the only Sammuel to be found. It is possible that this is our Sammuel as we think he died before the 1841 Census. Will need to obtain the death certificate to verify. A wider search for all of England did show up a few more Sammuels however none seemed to be as likely to be ours as this one]
