In Alfred, N. Y., Aug. 10th, 1871, Mrs. Sally T. Sherman, wife of Josiah Sherman, in the 64th year of her age. She had been many years a resident of Alfred, and for about the same number of years a member of the First Seventh-day Baptist Church of this town. In all the relations of wife, mother, and citizen, her life was of that noble type that made her rich in the graces of worth and adornment. Nor in her relations to the church did she fall behind, for of the faithful she was one of the most faithful, whether in her public or private life. As she was faithful in life, so in her death she was peaceful. "The memory of the just is blessed.
