Discrepancies

See Taylors in Yarmouth for the initial results of research conducted into the multiple Richard Taylors (and wives Ruths) of Yarmouth. This research implies that Ruth Whelden is more likely to have married not Richard Taylor, tailor, but Richard Taylor, Rock.

Subsequent research published in "The Origins of Gabriel Whelden of Yarmouth and Malden, Massachusetts," by Jan Porter and Dan Stramara (NEHG Register 162:253-261), further supports the theory that Ruth Whelden married the husbandman of the Rock, and that the wife of Richard Taylor, tailor, was Ruth's sister Mary Whelden.
