1881 - Living with parents at High Common, South Lopham, Norfolk. Name recorded as Rowland and birthplace as Fersfield. Agricultural labourer, aged 17.

1891 - With wife at 1 St Georges Terrace, Pearcroft Road, Leyton, Essex. Railway shunter, GER, aged 27, birthplace recorded as Bressingham, Norfolk, name recorded as Rowland G.

1901 - With wife and 3 children at 111 Dawlish Road, Leyton, Essex. Railway guard, aged 36. Name recorded as Jabez G. R. Musk. There was also a nephew (Wallace J. Clarke, GER messenger, aged 14, born at South Lopham, Norfolk) and a boarder (Thomas W. Danes, butcher, aged 31, born at Leicester) in the household.

1936 - Info from report of his funeral had been ill for about two years. Previously lived at Douglas Lodge, Riverlea Road, Christchurch. Retired after more than forty years as head goods guard with GER. Moved to Christchurch about 1928. Was an active member of the Post-War Brotherhood.
