Rosie Harry was born on 30th June 1908 at Plymouth in Devon, daughter of Mary Emma Curner, formerly Bond, and John Edwin Harry, a postman. Mary and John were not married at the time of her birth, presumably because Mary's first husband was still alive. They did eventually marry, but not until 1934. Rosie was baptised at the King Street Wesleyan Methodist Chapel in Plymouth in October 1908. The 1911 census finds Rosie living with her parents and older sister living in two rooms at 89 Cambridge Street in Plymouth.

Rosie was married in 1934, aged 26, to Horace Randall. They do not appear to have had any children.

Horace died in 1960. Rosie survived him by 23 years and died in 1983, aged 74.
