Olin, 86, Glenfield, formerly of the Salmon River Road, Town of Montague, widow of Floyd E. Olin, died Sunday, July 26, in Lewis County General Hospital, Lowville, where she had been a patient for a day. A private funeral was held at the convenience of the family at the Donald F. Virkler Funeral Home, Lowville, with Rev. Bradford Hunt, pastor of the Lowville United , Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in West Lowville Cemetery. Surviving are a son, Lloyd, Glenfield; a stepsister, Mrs. Lila Christman, address unknown; two grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A brother, Walter Hayes, and a sister, Mrs. Laura Moore, died before her. Born in Lowville on March 25, 1901, a daughter of Jay and Minnie Snyder Hayes, she was educated in Town of Montague schools and attended the Watertown Business School. She married Floyd E. Olin on July 6, 1918, at Pulaski. The couple owned and operated a dairy farm on the Salmon River Road for many years. Mr. Olin died Nov, 18, 1970, at age 75. Mrs. Olin had lived with her son, Lloyd, for six years before entering the Lewis County Extended Care Facility on May 5. References
