He returned to France to retrieve his family and returned in 1738 with Rose. Around 1649, when she was around 18, she married at Port Royal to Pierre COMMEAU, then around 50 years of age. They settled near Port-Royal on the Riviere des Dauphins and had nine children, the oldest Etienne born in 1650.
