GRAHAM — Mr. Roger M. Holt, 78, of 2225 Lacy Holt Road, died at 1:04 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2000, at Duke University Medical Center in Durham after a two-week critical illness.

A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Mrs.. Martha Moser Holt, who survives, and the son of Mr. Lacy R. Holt and Mrs.. Betty Russell Holt, both deceased. He retired as a machinist with Burlington Industries and Sykes Foundry and Machine. He was an U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II and a member of Macedonia Lutheran Church.

Survivors other than his wife of the home include a daughter, Mrs.. Phyllis Holt Langston of Durham; two sons, Mr. Rodney M. Holt of Elon College and Mr. Bruce A. Holt of Snow Camp; a sister, Mrs.. Helen H. Kellam of Graham; two brothers, Mr. John Wallace Holt of Winston-Salem and Mr. Robert L. Holt of Graham; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs.. Christine H. Woody; and a brother, Mr. Millard R. Holt.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Rich and Thompson Chapel in Graham by the Rev. E.L. Moser, retired Methodist minister. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park, Burlington, Alamance County, North Carolina.

The family will be at the funeral home in Graham from 3 to 5 this afternoon.
