Overview

This article is for Robert Walker, son of Robert Walker Senior, of Cumberland County, PA. In the 1760's, Robert owned land adjacent to his father in West Pennsboro[3] as well in the Tuscarora Valley in current Juniata County. The land in Tuscarora Valley was near the land of Samuel Brice, his father in law[4]. He later served as a private in the Virginia militia during the American Revolution (See Transcript:Pension Application of John Walker R11054)

In the 1780's Robert moved to the area around Green Springs, Hampshire, West Virginia. By 1804 he with most of his children migrated to Ohio.[5] For reasons not completely clear, Samuel was not included in his father's will. The inclusion of Samuel as a son of Robert is claimed by researchers and corroborated by land records. Robert's land in West Virginia was sold by the rest of his children to Samuel who did not join the migration to Ohio. Samuel later migrated to Greenup County, Kentucky.
