Robert Presley Vest was at some point in life, kicked in the head by a mule, after which "he never was right. Jud was about 4 or 5 years old, put in buggy, remember seeing him when up and able to go. Died several years after." (S2)

Robert Presley Vest was described as a short, fair-skinned man who wore a mustache, and was unable to control his temper. He was a farmer, though he "never did talk much about it."(S2)

There was a well on Robert Presley's property on Georgia Mountain (Marshall County, Alabama) from which spring water was drawn.(S2)
