From what I’ve been told by a couple of other relatives, RL Snell Jr was not very kind (IMO, he sounded like a bit of an elitist and looked down his nose on his lesser educated relatives). He did, however, inherit the Snells high intelligence and thirst for knowledge – he obtained his PhD from Texas Tech and was an organic chemistry professor at East Tennessee State University.
